My Journey – From ₹200 to an Educational Revolution
Shankar Palwan – Founder, Director & CEO, Aarsh Institute My journey began back in Class 9 when I started tutoring — not because I wanted to, but because I couldn’t afford tuition myself. Coming from a middle-class family, I faced deep financial struggles, emotional pressure, and very limited academic support. In 2021, I lost my mother unexpectedly. That one moment changed my entire life. With no support and the country in lockdown during COVID, I came back to Delhi alone from Uttarakhand — with just ₹200 in my pocket and a fire in my heart: “No student should suffer for education the way I did.” I began with door-to-door home tuitions. There were days I had no food, poor health, but I kept going. In 2022, my students produced exceptional board results, and that became a defining turning point. Meanwhile, I also worked for 3 years in the Ministry of Agriculture, gaining deep insight into systems, discipline, and national-level problem-solving — experiences that continue to guide my mission today. And over the last 4 years, I haven’t missed a single day. I’ve consistently conducted classes from 5 AM to 11 PM, driven by the dream that no student should be left behind. My Purpose :My mission is clear — no child should be denied education because of money or lack of support.
